Bear-Proof Trash Cans
Bear-resistant trash cans have been mandated for use in Sabal Point since 2018 to protect residents and help us coexist with wildlife. Household garbage and other food-contaminated waste, which are attractants for bears and other animals, must be placed in bear-resistant cans. The cans must be lockable, so if your trash can is damaged and no longer locks, it must be repaired or replaced.
